Magali Chesnel

Magali Chesnel is a French artist and self-taught photographer based in Geneva. Born in Versailles and originally from Brittany, she is known for her award-winning aerial photography that blurs the boundary between painting and photography. Drawing inspiration from nature’s patterns—especially salt marshes—her work transforms landscapes into almost abstract, “painting-like” compositions of color and form, inviting the viewer to see the world from a fresh, elevated perspective.
